The Skim Rumah Pertamaku or My First Home Scheme was first announced in the 2011 Budget by the Malaysian Government. To promote home ownership among Malaysians and to overcome the difficulty faced by young adults to own a house the Government has intorduced Skim Rumah Pertamaku through Cagamas Berhad which will provide a guarantee on down payment of 10 for houses below RM220000.

Skim Rumah Pertamaku SRP is a Government initiative aimed at assisting first time house buyers to own a home. Loanfinancing application will be processed and approved by the participating banks based on the Schemes criteria and respective banks credit underwriting standards. This is one of the good initiatives taken by the government to help young adults earning RM5000 per month or less to get 100 financing from Banks to purchase their first home.

The scheme is for first-time house buyers with monthly household income.
